I used to hate the use of the word 'partner' in reference to romantic relationships. Whenever anyone would say 'my partner' I'd always wonder if they meant business or romantic, and I thought the word was too cold and neutral. But as I've gotten older, I've come to like 'partner' a lot more. A partner is the person with whom you walk through life, hand in hand, the person who makes you feel safe and loved and who always has your back. Your partner is the one person you can rely on.
