Animal shelters and wildlife sanctuaries Being surrounded by cute animals that are in need of some TLC can be a great way to get in touch with your nurturing side and help animals that can´t help themselves. While this includes fun stuff like keeping the animals company, petting and feeding them, there is also lots of stinky, dirty work like picking up poop and cleaning out cages. It´s worth it to see how happy the animals are to have you there; the only problem is, you might want to take them home, especially because they might otherwise be put down.
